How to fight Acne easily with only 4 products! [With Tips]

Hi girls :DD, How are you doing? It’s been quite some time since I’m back from Taiwan. And by the way, sorry for not updating you guys about the new liquid lipstick from BLP. I’m gonna write about it soon though. By the way, I got some acne which I’m very scared because I do not usually have that many in the same time. I think it is about 3-4 and one of them is very big and irritated. This one is hurting like crazy and swollen so much (and it does spurt out blood after it got popped itself from using patch). I do think that they are caused by my trip to Taiwan days before. Maybe because the climate is quite different from Indonesia, it is a bit colder there at that time and I also can see that my skin starts to flaky again and in need of intense moisture care.

I will show you which products that I used to fight these acne which are my favorites for now. They reduce pimple very quick and also heal the scar in a small amount of time. For me, it takes about 1 week for the big irritated pimple to flatten out and turn into acne scar which will be gone in about a month (because bigger scar tends to heal slowly) ^^. But remember, every skin is different and I’m not telling you guys that the products that I used will be effective for you. Rather, you can try up my routine and hopefully it will be effective for you guys too :D. I do think my routine is universal and can be used for dry, normal and oily skin.

First of all, healing pimple and reducing the scar takes time and dedication. It won’t be easy but the results are there. My routine consisted of 3 to 4 items (one of them is used if the scar isn’t going to heal anytime soon), here they are:

Innisfree Volcanic Pore Toner

From all of these product, toner is very important for me because they are removing dirt and dirty oil that is staying on your face. I only wash my face twice a day with cleansing foam, but I frequently clean my face and the acne itself with toner (wash your face too much will affect the natural face oil production). "So how do you know how frequently you need to clean up your acne with toner?" I always checked my acne patch every time before I clean them. If the patch already extracted some adequate amount of pus from the pimple itself, I will remove the patch and start to clean it. After cleaning it, I will patch them again and you need to do this until your acne is flatten out (usually it will take 1-2 days for little pimple and 3-4 days for a bigger pimple).

Cosrx Acne/Clear Fit Master Patch

I already explained on how frequently I use the patch and it is not easy and not very cheap either (because I do need a sheet of 18 patches that I will used all up for 2-3 pimples). But, I mean it is quite effective for me after doing this for some time and I’m okay with it.

The other thing that you also need to know is, if you didn’t really need to use makeup then you will need to cover the acne with the patch which is very important. Or, you can use the clear patch which is very thin and suitable under your makeup. Do not let dirt stay or touch your pimple guys.

Just a reminder, this patch is useless if your acne haven't got matured yet. You can use the ampoule until it got matured, then you can use the patch to extract them. There are 2 kind of this patch, the acne and clear fit master patch. Get the one that is more into your liking, I usually get the clear one since i can use them when going outside. But, the acne patch is worth your money since it have 24 patches rather than the clear one which only have 18 patches.

Cosrx Centella Blemish Ampoule

“I already clean my acne with toner and cover it with the acne patch every day. When will I use the ampoule that you mentioned here?” The answer is after your acne has flatten out. If you use any ampoule before using patch, it will disturb the process of the patch extracting the impurities/pus. Try to use the ampoule two times a day after cleansing your face with cleansing foam or soap. You can also use it under your makeup because it is light weight. Do this until your acne scar gone. The patch will not be needed anymore because they won’t help at removing scars from your face.

St. Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub

Sometimes the acne scar doesn’t really want to go away and it shows up even though you’re using foundation. I always try to exfoliate using this scrub about once a week. Careful though, it is quite gritty but they do work wonderfully (try to get the mild one if you have sensitive skin). Do not try to scrub when you’re having pimples, they will irritate it much more. It do take time to fade away those big scar from big pimples, but they do work :D.

There, these are the products that I’ve been using for fighting off these pimples and acne scar. Aren’t they quite easy to follow? But, even though you are following my routine, it wouldn’t do anything if you do these things:

Touching your face after doing or touching something dirty

This is the most important point that changes everything for me. I didn’t care of what I was touching when i'm still in high school and I still touch my face after that. But now, it grosses me out whenever I’m touching my pc or my phone that are very dirty and wash my hands or have some hand sanitizer before touching my face. After not touching my face with dirty hands, I rarely got any pimples anymore.

Didn’t drink water that much

Seriously, you’ll need to drink water to cleanse your body. A clean body system will show up on your own face and skin.

Always eat oily foods and not veggies nor fruits

You need to do diet after eating bad foods that are oily and consist of only bad ingredients. I always eat less the day after I eat so much. I also try to drink more tea to help comforting my stomach and detoxing my body.

Didn’t change your bed sheets frequently

It won’t do justice if you’re already taking care of your face so much but you didn’t change the bed sheets. Bed sheets can be as disgusting as a phone and a computer. You’ll need to change them frequently and try to sleep facing upward so your face didn’t touch the sheets.

Lack of sleeping

Everyone knows this, you need to sleep at least 7 hours to let your skin regenerate. It is hard to keep this schedule though nowadays, but try to get more sleep whenever you can, it does helps.

Not moisturizing your face enough

You always need to moisturize your face even if your face oily or too dry. If you’re not moisturizing enough, the sebum production will be a mess.

And that’s it, the holy daily routine that I always do whenever I am having pimples. Try to follow my routine or my tips and I hope that your pimple will go away. This should work from 1 week to 1 month regarding on how you avoiding the points that I already explained and how big is the pimple. I hope this helps and I will try to make these post more. BLP Caramel Champagne Liquid Lipstick [Review]

Hi guys ^^, I hope you are ready for another lip product review. This is one of the product that I’ve been having on my wish list for long enough but I haven’t get it until now. I never have a shimmery lipstick because I think it is a bit too heavy for daily looks. Still, I already eyeing this lipstick for so long and I’m ready to buy it :D. It is another liquid lipstick from BLP that is called Caramel Champagne which have been introduced as a limited edition lipstick before and they have stopped the selling of this shade after some time. Then out of nowhere, she started selling this shade again with new limited packaging. And I’m very happy that she sold them again because I haven’t get my hand on this shade yet. It is sold for Rp 129.000,- same like the other shades and includes of 4 gr of products inside. It also got expired notice for you guys that are worried about them. And did you know? Sociolla is having collaboration with BLP for their third anniversary and BLP releasing one liquid lipstick that is called Peach Soda which I already bought and I’m waiting for it to be delivered. I’m sorry that I will post the review maybe at the middle of April because I will go to Taiwan for 8 days starting from tomorrow. Packaging

BLP is one of my favorite local brand because they always have good design packaging and good quality products. Their new packaging looks sleek, expensive and just better than her first formula release. Both of these shades have the same bottle, only the boxes that are different because Caramel Champagne is a limited edition shade. I hope their new limited edition shade will be great like this one also.

Claims

A shade for celebration and festivity, Caramel Champagne in mauve pink with reddish undertone and glittery accents is back to bring out your inner sparkle. This versatile color can take any look from day to night in an instant.

Swatch and Textures

First of all, I think that there is something different in the formula of this shade compared to the others. It is quick to dry and not taking longer time like the other shade. Both formulas aren’t smudge proof and waterproof, but the pigment stay there. They also aren’t kiss proof, so you will find kiss mark on your cups or glass sadly. Even though it is quite quick to dry, you still can use it as a liquid eyeshadow just fine. I have seen so many beauty blogger and vlogger use it as eyeshadow and they look pretty.

The liquid lipstick feels very comfortable and I do not feel any stickiness at all. It is also not cracking which is a plus point, because who wants to see cracks on their shimmery lipstick? It is the worst nightmare. Even though it is not cracking, I’m still suggesting you to scrub or applying lip mask before using this lipstick. The shimmers will accentuate some of your lip texture and it will not look good if your lips are flaky. Beware, it will fade in areas where you are eating something hearty. Any drinks will be okay though.

So, if you’re trying to find a totally matte liquid lipstick that won’t mess anything, maybe BLP wouldn’t be a good choice for you. But, if you’d like a comfortable liquid lipstick, it is a good option because it doesn’t turn completely matte. It is also easy to remove on one swipe, but there will be some residue of the shimmer/glitters left. It is okay for me since I love how it is very easy to clean them and reapply after eating.

The shade also looks good for daily look if you want to use them, both as day or night eyeshadow and lipstick. For me though, I don’t really like it as an eyeshadow because it is a bit too dark for my liking now. Maybe I will try them someday when I feel adventurous, and maybe that someday will be soon enough. So, they are also good for travel because you can use BLP’s liquid lipstick as eyeshadow too like Rollover Reaction. Too bad I haven’t tried any products from Rollover Reaction. People always said that they are good, should I buy some too? L

Scents

It is much stronger than how the Maple Waffle’s scent. Maple Waffle got this light vanilla scent like Vanilla sponge cakes or ice cream. The Caramel Champagne on the other hand is so much sweeter and got heavier Vanilla’s scent, it just smells like heavy vanilla buttercream cake. Am I crazy? I really can smell some buttercream or something else there and it is not only Vanilla.

But, if you are quite sensitive on heavy scented product especially when it is really sweet, it will annoy you when you are applying it for the first time. After it dries, it won’t smell that strong anymore.

Pros:

Always affordable
Quick to dry compared to other shades
Can be used as Liquid Eyeshadow
Not drying lips (no cracking) and very comfortable
Very good for travel
Very comfortable

Cons:

Not smudgeproof
Not waterproof
Not turning into completely matte
Can look harsh if your lip is in a worse condition (do scrub or lip mask before use can help)

Final Thoughts

I am in love with this shade and the texture. It is very comfortable and very easy to use considering that this is a shimmery liquid lipstick. I love how it still looks good even for daily use, you only need to be a bit more daring and anyone can kill this look. It looked even better in important events like wedding party or any party that you can think off. And even more, every skin tone would look good using this lipstick <3.

I recommend you this lipstick if you want to try shimmery liquid lipstick. Because it is not messy, easy to apply, very beginner friendly and not easy to fade. Seriously, try this shade if you haven’t!

The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer Highlighter [Review]

Hi guys :D, I’m really productive these months aren’t I? Another new post for you ^^. And now, I want to review new thing that I’ve never done or buy before. I bought this The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer highlighter which is a must, that every beauty vlogger and blogger should probably already have in their hands. So, what is the difference between this highlighter and the other that I choose to buy this one?

Because I’m not really used to this kind of thing, I really need some time to know which product I must buy to use and learn. I’m divided between Essence, Wet n Wild and this The Balm highlighter. Since people always raving about these products, I read so many reviews and watch youtube videos about them. I feel Essence is a bit too dark for my liking and I skip that (they are also very natural which is good for beginners). Wet n Wild, I do see them swatch really good but maybe too much for me because I’m still learning to highlight and their glitter type is too big and it won’t be good for me who doesn’t have smooth skin. This is a tip that I learn from beauty youtuber, do not bother to buy big glitter highlighter like Wet n Wild if you have some texture on your skin because it will show them more than how it is before (acnes or milias).

Then I come to a conclusion that I will buy The Balm since it is not too bling, have finish like glow from within (like how beauty blogger/youtuber describe it), and so many things that I will describe down below. Anyway, they sell this for about Rp 250.000,- or 18 US$ that contains of 8.5 g/ 0.3 OZ products inside.

I’m still wondering if The Balm really is a drugstore brand. They are not that cheap compared with Maybelline, Wet n Wild and the other brands. But, their products are nice and I’m happy to buy this highlighter :D. I don’t really think this is a drugstore prices though. Now, if you are curious of what do I love about them, do not go anywhere and keep reading this review.

Packaging

Like all of their products, The Balm’s packaging always cute and have this kind of pin up model style on almost any of their product’s packaging. They are cute and have a very unique design compared to their competitors. It is good to have unique design because we can definitely say from which company that this product is made without saying the brand. And this highlighter is a must for your collection because isn’t it cute? :D

Claim

Meet Mary-Lou Manizer, a seemingly innocent honey-hued luminizer that catches everybody’s eye. This highlighter, shadow and shimmer diffuses light so your skin looks softer and younger while adding a subtle glow.

Swatch and Textures

It is very soft and not that dry powdery kind that you found at a cheaper option. It is also a shimmery highlighter and not a glitter highlighter, which means the finish is not too bling and look very natural like a glow from within. The shimmers also help for people who like me which have textured skin, so it doesn’t accentuate any of your acne and milias.

And also I find this highlighter does have golden sheen to it which makes it really suitable and attractive for people who have warm undertones like me. But anyone with cool undertones can also use it just fine. As it does give them this kind of healthy glow and it will just suit everyone, I promise.

Sometimes glittery highlighter can look somewhat harsh on skin and not really suited for daily look. But this one, I can use it every day without looking heavy at all. And of course you can build it up if you want to look super blinding :D. Don’t forget to always tilt your head slowly to hit them with lights, so people are blinded by the highlighter you just put on LOL.

Also, always highlight your nose and upper lips to create a more define and blinding look. This is a good tip if you want your nose to be more high without doing any surgeries. I will explain where to highlight at the photo caption below. Can you see why I love this highlighter so much?? See how blinding it is but still looks natural <3!!

Pros :

Not too expensive (at least cheaper than Becca? ahahah)
Have a finish like glow from within
It is a shimmery highlighter not glittery (look very natural but glowing)
The color is very pretty <3
You can have a natural highlight using a fan brush
You can also build it up using bigger highlighter brush
It is not powdery nor dry and very very soft
Suitable for all skin color especially warm undertones

Cons :

Maybe for some people it is a bit pricey, but it’s worth it :(

Final Thoughts

This product is very suitable for me who are trying to learn using highlighter. And I really recommend it to you guys who also start highlighting to use this. Honestly I cannot stop looking at them after swatches or using them on my cheeks, they are very very pretty that I just can’t!! Just look at how much pros list that I can list one by one. I really think that this highlighter is really worth all the money. For the results and how many products that you get inside, they are worth the price.

Anyway, I hope you find this review helpful and may you find your best highlighter if you haven’t tried any yet. If you want to have blinding look just like Jeffree Star or NikkieTutorials, then try the Wet n Wild one or the Sleek highlighter ^^, both are very blinding yet affordable. COSRX Clear Fit Blemish Cushion [Review]

Hi guys :D, how did you enjoy your holiday yesterday? I gotta admit I ate so much that I need to exercise immediately and got to do diet all over again LOL. Soo, I have been eyeing this product so much lately since it was introduced by many Korean beauty youtuber. And finally, some online shop already sold this at Indonesia. It is from COSRX guys, and it is a cushion :D. Yayy, new cushion. This cushion is called Clear Fit Blemish Cushion and funnily it is shaped square not circle. Rest assured, it comes in three shades so do not worry. They have Light Beige, Natural Beige and Deep Beige for you guys to pick.

I will try to explain this cushion by comparing it to my April Skin cushion. Because I know, you all really love that cushion didn’t you? :D

It is retail for about Rp 250.000,- or 18 US$ and contain of 15g of products inside. It also comes with SPF 47 which is smaller than my April Skin cushion. This cushion is a bit more expensive than regular cushion that have refill in it like Missha or Etude one. It is also a bit pricier than April Skin and a piece of Laneige cushion. So, what do I think about this cushion? Will it be better than my April Skin and Missha’s cushion which are my totally favorites? Let’s review it now <3.

Packaging

I really love this packaging! Just like April Skin, it is only black and it have this smooth dove layer on top of it. Too bad that you need to be careful, because any makeup can imprint so easy on it. Mine already got stained, aww shucks :(. Anyway, it comes with a grey puff which quality is good enough for me but not really different with my other cushion.

And the last thing is I love how they sealed their products. Well, I’m the kind of people that is really into opening or breaking any seal from new goodies. And the tearing part of the seal in this cushion is very satisfying here and a bit different than any other cushions that I ever tried.

Claim

Too bad the COSRX website didn’t post about this product yet which I can’t explain more information about what does this cushion have that others don’t. But for sure, from the ingredients list below I can see how this cushion claims for what it is. They have Centella which pretty much good for your acne and acne scar, they also got this Niacinamide which is also good for brighten up your skin because it is a whitening agent.

I bet other ingredients also got some goods in them which unfortunately I can’t tell because they didn’t have any information about this product at all. Well, I will update this post if they already put it up on their website.

Swatch and Textures

The texture is quite light weight for a good coverage cushion. It is in the middle of the April Skin cushion and my Missha Original Tension Pact. The shade is a bit lighter than the April Skin one, but it will oxidize as time goes by (still not as dark as April Skin though). I can feel that the COSRX cushion is more on the moisturizing side than the April Skin (not so big difference). But I love both of them and I use them at different occasion :D.

How it looks after it is dry (the COSRX starts to oxidize but still a bit lighter than the April Skin)

When I go outdoor I will prefer to use my April Skin, if I go indoor I usually use the COSRX one. COSRX easily gets oily over time (because our country is humid and very hot), and if you have oily skin use some powder to set them up. Also, even though they said this cushion contains so many good ingredients for acne skin, I never notice anything different after using this cushion for about one month.

The coverage is very good and very buildable. It is also quite lightweight for the coverage that it has. I didn’t know why this cushion is on the pricey side from the other two cushions that I use. Probably because not many people have known about this cushion and not many online shop sell these? But I really love this cushion :D, I can see that this have a little bit more coverage than the April Skin. Definitely reduce my redness and calming my skin better.

I see that I prefer April Skin cushion to look more natural with good coverage, and I will use COSRX cushion when I need a bit more coverage and I want to look a bit brighter than usual. Please do remember that every skin type is different. My skin is on combination side now, which there is a reason why this cushion can easily turns oily on my T-Zone area. Every skin condition is different, so you need to try it for yourselves. But I do think that they will not stick as much to the dry skin like how my perfect tension cover do. So, if you didn’t like the perfect tension cover for your dry skin, try this ^^. Oily skin also can use this cushion, just put on some powder and you’re ready to go.

Scent

If April Skin have this floral-y scent on them, the COSRX one got this kind of subtle herb-y scent. They are really really subtle, so do not worry because you won’t smell them if you are not real close to the cushion itself.

Quite on the same level with April Skin (but a bit different)

It does contain good properties to help acne and acne scar healing

Cons

A bit pricier
The packaging is easy to get stained
It gets break apart after 5-6 hours at crease areas like nose sides and eyes (if your eye does crease)
The shade is a bit lighter than other cushion (But it does oxidize after some time)

Final Thoughts

I really love this cushion just like how i love my April Skin cushion. If you guys have any problem with redness and some acne scar, go get this cushion quick <3. This cushion have good coverage and so light weight. But, do not forget that this is a bit more light than the April Skin even though it will oxidize when time flies.
