Produk yang bakal aku review hari ini merupakan Lip Glaze dari BLP. Nah, tadinya aku mau review duluan si Lip Gloss kolaborasi Lux Crime X Titan Tyra karena lip gloss ini lebih dahulu aku beli daripada si Lip Glaze BLP. Berhubung lip gloss ini sudah termasuk barang yang lumayan lama beredar di pasaran, yaudah yang ini dulu kali ya :D. Sayang sekali sih aku hanya beli satu shade yaitu Poppy Jam dikarenakan lip product aku sudah cukup banyak :(. Namanya cewe ya susah banget gitu jaga mata, suka jelalatan kalau liatin lipstik baru hahah. Dan lagi salah satu shade mereka yang aku pingin banget juga cuma merupakan bentuk lip gloss dari matte liquid lipstick mereka yang sudah aku punya yaitu Maple Waffle. Packaging

First of all, botol si lip product ini berbeda dengan botol Lip Coat BLP yang biasa. Kalau botol Lip Coat BLP semuanya berbahan plastik dengan lapisan doff, si Lip Glaze ini berbahan plastik yang bening dan gampang banget untuk dilihat shadenya dibandingkan botol si Lip Coat. Jujur sih aku lebih suka kemasan si Lip Glaze karena bening, mudah untuk dilihat warnanya dan terlihat lebih oke aja gitu dibandingkan lapisan yang doff. Tapi si kemasan doff BLP juga aku suka banget :( jadi bingung deh saiaa.

Lip Glaze dari BLP ini dijual seharga Rp 139.000,- untuk produk seberat 4 gr. Jadi cukup banyak ya untuk harganya BLP termasuk affordable sekali untuk kualitasnya yang oke :D. Nah, Lip Glaze ini memiliki 4 shade yaitu Sparkling Rose, Spiced Masala, Poppy Jam dan Cranberry Cobbler. Menurut aku warna-warnanya super cocok dengan kulit Indonesia, jadi warna manapun yang kamu beli bakalan aman.

Catatan untuk kamu-kamu yang belum memiliki Maple Waffle, nah kalian bisa coba versi Lip Glazenya yang Spiced Masala. Cantik dan cocok banget buat kalian yang suka lipstik nude coklat gitu.

Texture

Teksturnya berbeda dengan lip gloss yang umum di pasaran, tidak lengket dan ringan. Malahan lebih ke arah oily tapi tetap nyaman. Walaupun terasa oily, tapi warnanya tetap pigmented dan memiliki hasil glossy yang tidak heboh. Masih cocok untuk daily use karena tidak ada glitter di dalamnya. Kalau kalian mau hasil yang lebih glossy dan memiliki glitter di dalamnya bisa beli yang shade Sparkling Rose. Karena lip glaze dari BLP sangat pigmented, kalian hanya bisa menggunakan Sparkling Rose sebagai pelapis lip tint ataupun lipstik kalian. Dan pastinya kalian tetap harus menggunakan lip scrub kalau bibir kalian terlihat mengelupas karena tidak ada lipstik yang terlihat bagus di atas bibir yang mengelupas.

Scents

Wanginya seperti lipstik Vanilla lainnya dan tidak mengganggu sama sekali untuk yang sensitif. Walaupun dia memiliki sedikit rasa (hampir tidak terasa) saat pemakaian awal tapi hanya sebentar, tidak mengganggu seperti velvet lip tint.

Sangat ringan dan tidak lengket, super pigmented juga. Namun yang Poppy Jam ini menurut aku tidak seperti lip gloss lainnya yang benar-benar heboh dan glittery. Namun di satu sisi, lip gloss ini sangat cocok untuk daily use apalagi untuk kalian yang punya bibir kering. Tapi kalian harus tetap menggunakan lip scrub sebelum memakai lip glaze ini ya dikarenakan kulit terkelupas yang tersisa di bibir bakalan kelihatan jelek kalau tidak di scrub.

Sociolla is having collaboration with BLP for their third anniversary and BLP releasing one liquid lipstick that is called Peach Soda which I already bought and I’m waiting for it to be delivered. BLP is one of my favorite local brand because they always have good design packaging and good quality products. Their new packaging looks sleek, expensive and just better than her first formula release. Both of these shades have the same bottle, only the boxes that are different because Caramel Champagne is a limited edition shade. I hope their new limited edition shade will be great like this one also.

Swatch and Textures

First of all, I think that there is something different in the formula of this shade compared to the others. It is quick to dry and not taking longer time like the other shade. Both formulas aren’t smudge proof and waterproof, but the pigment stay there. They also aren’t kiss proof, so you will find kiss mark on your cups or glass sadly. Even though it is quite quick to dry, you still can use it as a liquid eyeshadow just fine. I have seen so many beauty blogger and vlogger use it as eyeshadow and they look pretty.

The liquid lipstick feels very comfortable and I do not feel any stickiness at all. It is also not cracking which is a plus point, because who wants to see cracks on their shimmery lipstick? It is the worst nightmare. Even though it is not cracking, I’m still suggesting you to scrub or applying lip mask before using this lipstick. The shimmers will accentuate some of your lip texture and it will not look good if your lips are flaky. Beware, it will fade in areas where you are eating something hearty. Any drinks will be okay though.

So, if you’re trying to find a totally matte liquid lipstick that won’t mess anything, maybe BLP wouldn’t be a good choice for you. But, if you’d like a comfortable liquid lipstick, it is a good option because it doesn’t turn completely matte. It is also easy to remove on one swipe, but there will be some residue of the shimmer/glitters left. It is okay for me since I love how it is very easy to clean them and reapply after eating.

The shade also looks good for daily look if you want to use them, both as day or night eyeshadow and lipstick. For me though, I don’t really like it as an eyeshadow because it is a bit too dark for my liking now. Maybe I will try them someday when I feel adventurous, and maybe that someday will be soon enough. So, they are also good for travel because you can use BLP’s liquid lipstick as eyeshadow too like Rollover Reaction. Too bad I haven’t tried any products from Rollover Reaction. People always said that they are good, should I buy some too? L

Scents

It is much stronger than how the Maple Waffle’s scent. Maple Waffle got this light vanilla scent like Vanilla sponge cakes or ice cream. The Caramel Champagne on the other hand is so much sweeter and got heavier Vanilla’s scent, it just smells like heavy vanilla buttercream cake. Am I crazy? I really can smell some buttercream or something else there and it is not only Vanilla.

But, if you are quite sensitive on heavy scented product especially when it is really sweet, it will annoy you when you are applying it for the first time. After it dries, it won’t smell that strong anymore.

Final Thoughts

I am in love with this shade and the texture. It is very comfortable and very easy to use considering that this is a shimmery liquid lipstick. I love how it still looks good even for daily use, you only need to be a bit more daring and anyone can kill this look. It looked even better in important events like wedding party or any party that you can think off. And even more, every skin tone would look good using this lipstick <3.

I recommend you this lipstick if you want to try shimmery liquid lipstick. Because it is not messy, easy to apply, very beginner friendly and not easy to fade. Seriously, try this shade if you haven’t!

They have about 7 colors; Indian Red, Crimson Pink, Maroon Pink, Raspberry Pink, Orange, Pink and Red. All of them looks pretty and vibrant, which can be used at any occasion (from daily to important events). There is something that I love from lip tint that I can’t get from lipstick. They are easy to use, looks very natural and brightens up your complexion. 

By the way, have you seen my review about Peripera lip tint? Do not forget to check it here if you haven’t. It is a great pigmented lip tint that is very very affordable. And so sorry that I cannot get all of the color for you to compare :(.

Packaging

The box is very 3CE, only black with their logo which is simple but also looks clean. I loved how they are shaped as a marker, not liquid lip tint like any other. It is travel friendly which is very good for me and they aren’t super drying lips like how water tints are. Maybe, the only problem comes from the applicator itself. Marker’s application easily dries out and it will be hard to spurt any products out if that is happening.

Swatch and Texture

The texture isn’t watery nor gel. It is very lightweight and easy to apply. This tint is very good for people who can’t control their lip tint game when creating ombre lips or gradient. For your info, you can’t smoothen out any hard lines using this marker tint (it immediately stain your lips). And beware though, same like other tint, they fill in the crack and fine lines on your lips. Always scrub and use lip balm if you are using any lip tints. Like any other lip tint, this tint will fade away if you eat hearty meal. Always reapply whenever you done eating. Drinking anything will be okay, it will not come off.

It is the same finish like one another. The only thing that I like comparing this with other tint is; it is travel friendly because it is shaped like a marker. Also, the things that I hate the most when using liquid lip tint is they always leaked out of their bottle. I recommend you to get this kind of tint when going to travel, very easy to bring and do not worry for it to leak.

I didn’t buy the Ginger Bread because I’m afraid that it will wash me off so bad (even though I really want to try it :(). The new packaging of BLP is super pretty and classy. It looks more expensive and cleaner. I am happy that she changes her old packaging and formula of the lipstick. The box also looks pretty, I totally love the BLP's packaging now, thumbs up for her and her company for this.

Texture & Swatch

I see that now she changes her formula of these lipstick and it turns out pretty much great. Before, I look at how it looks after turning matte and it looks gritty and not smooth. And that’s why I didn’t really want to try their lipstick before (Because I have dry lips and it will not look good on me). But now, after looking at how it turns out, I surely get one of it to try and to review it for you guys. It has a light-weight formula and not patchy at all. I only dip twice into the bottle for full lip application. This lipstick’s formula has a finish between matte and not matte. It is very comfortable on the lips, because it doesn’t make your lips look wrinkle. Because this lipstick not perfectly matte, it is not really transfer proof and kiss proof, meaning that it will transfer a bit. It is also not really long lasting, and you should re apply after eating hearty meal (do not forget to wipe off the excess at your lips first before reapplying this lipstick).

The wand is a doe-foot applicator, and it makes the application so much easier and quick <3. This is a nude color that is very safe and looks totally natural for every complexion. Especially, if you have a warm tone complexion, this will totally be a good nude color for you. For me, it is perfect because it doesn’t wash me off and it looks cool and feminine at a same time for me :DD. Soo much yaass!   

Scent

It smells like a sweet cookie dough or vanilla scented cosmetics, sweet but not heavily scented. I totally choose this kind of scent rather than the MAC ones :(. Very good for sensitive people who doesn’t like heavily scented cosmetics.

I am definitely impressed with Indonesians brand today <3. It is my first time using Indonesian brand liquid lipstick and yet I’m not disappointed at all. Not only formula wise, but their packaging also got better every time. I will try to get more of them if there are new releases that catches my eye. The price point is cheap yet the formula also pretty good. There are no heavy cracks like how Kylie liquid lipstick looks like and it is very comfortable to wear. 

Totally recommended for you guys who loves the not totally matte formulas, safe nude color and isn’t expensive. For notes, I would totally recommend you guys that have medium to darker skin tone to also get the Pumpkin Sorbet, which it would be totally cool to see you guys wear it :D.

Before we are getting into the review, I’ve known there are some issues about Jefree Star, but I won’t talk about it and it won’t affect my honest review about this product. Okay, here goes my review.

Packaging

At first, I don’t really like his bottle design. I think it is when his summer collection comes out, yeah that yellow one. It looks cheap and I don’t really see how it compares with other brand with the same price range. So, yep, not into his packaging so much before and the shades are so bright and neon which doesn’t suit me for every day looks. Until his limited edition, the white one comes out. And there are so much shades after that collection which are really great for daily looks and for every event. I still like his limited edition color though rather than his pink one, please bring them out again for next limited edition <3 LOL.  

Anyhow, the box and the bottle is very Jefree like. There is so much star printed on it hence his name Jefree Star, duh. And they also use sticker for the name of each lipstick, which is helpful for people who likes to put the lipstick back inside its box after use. The most exciting part is how the cap clicks when it is closed. It really feels satisfying to hear that click sound and I do feel more safe. So, good job Jefree! I love your packaging ^^.

Applicator, Texture and Swatch

The applicator is pretty different with other brand because it looks like doe-foot. It looks hard to apply with this applicator since it is more thick, which is not true at all. It is easy to apply and it takes enough product to use. The length also not too short nor too long, it’s not bothering the application ^^. So, pretty good Jefree!

Okay, when I first apply it to my lips, it feels light yet the pigmentation tho. It blows my mind to see that I only need to dip once for my full lips. Usually for my Kat Von D lipstick I need to dip twice or thrice. That’s cool <3. And there is a con when I finish applying this lipstick. This Gemini shades took more time to dry than the Kat Von D ones, I still don’t know if other shades does this too. But, my friends say that the Androgyny also takes time to dry. I’m not really bothered with it, but since the Kat’s is quick to dry and her lipstick is my go to lippies every day, you surely understand how I feel about it :p.

The texture is light weight and doesn’t really drying out my lips like how the Kat Von D does. Okay, for notes, compare to some brands, Kat Von D is one of my favorites lipstick formula because it is not as drying as other brands. So, Jefree’s formula is slightly better (a teeny tiny bit), but it doesn’t mean that Kat Von D is bad (both are great). If you have crack lips, I suggest to pick these two brands rather than taking the Colourpop and Kylie ^^. But, it works different in how long lasting they are. So, it really is about how your lips condition and what is your preference. And do not forget to shake them first and scrubbing your lips beforehand, lip mask also helps a lot.

Lasting Power

The lasting power of Jefree and Kat Von D looks the same to me. They are not oil-proof and when you are eating something heavy, all of the lipstick at the inside area of your lips will be gone. You will need to re-apply after you are eating. Even though you can reapply without removing the remaining at the outside, I suggest to clean all of the remaining oil at your lips first. It will ruin the formula and so, it will affect how the finish looks. Not to mention if the oil will stick into the applicator and being dipped into the lipstick tube. Yeahh, you wouldn’t want that to happen.

But do not worry, this lipstick is water proof and you can drink or eating light without re-applying just fine.

Scent

This is the most exciting part of this review. This lipstick has Root Beer scent, so much Yasss! Here is the list that have Root Beer scent infused in them; Celebrity Skin, Unicorn Blood, Breakfast At Tiffany’s, Abused, Gemini, Rose Matter, Mannequin & Blue Velvet. Have I mention that the abused shade looks cool? And that blue velvet? Oh gosh. Cannot wear it here though, my parents will kick me so badly :DD.

Anyway, I really love this scent! When it arrived in my mailbox, I already sniff it about 8 times already that day. So good!! I cannot wait to see what interesting scent that Jefree will use at his next collection. Oh my, the anticipation LOL.

No hates about this liquid lipstick until now. Even though the color may look a little bit similar to my Kat Von D Lolita II which is more orange-y than this Gemini. Maybe I need to try the Androgyny one. This gemini looks great though! If you’d like subtle color for everyday looks this will be great! But go for Androgyny if you are searching for more daring look, they are gorgeous <3.

The only bad thing is Jefree not throwing their products into beauty store like Sephora, so it is a little bit difficult to get their products than Kat Von D brand. I really do anticipate for him to create foundation and concealer line, knowing how he loves his full coverage products.

Packaging

Well, I can’t say anything about the box rather than they are pretty. It is so Kat Von D. Her liquid lipstick box’s design is unique and pretty, I love them! I also love the bottle design, but I still prefer her Studded Kiss lipstick design. For Lipstick collector like me, I really need to get them. Thank God, Sephora give me Studded Kiss Lipstick mini in Cathedral color for free because I spend some amounts.  
 

Sorry guys, the order of the boxes are messed up. The left one is the Lolita and the right one is Lolita II.

They have expired date label also in the box, so don’t worry. It comes with 6.6 mL products, a bit more than Jefree Star’s. And there are also color label and title that printed clearly, so that’s good!
